Social Responsibility

With business success comes social responsibility. We believe in this and follow in the footsteps of our founder, who was keenly dedicated to both developing young talent and cultural and social engagement.

As well as training young people and encouraging scientific talent in the Dr Albert Klein Foundation, we hand over production of our components to workshops for people with physical or mental disabilities, helping to integrate them into society. On top of this, we have been donating to a variety of social and charitable institutions for many years, and not just at Christmas. Some of these partnerships go back many years. Here are two of our partners:

every tree counts!

Our products contribute to climate protection and we are doing even more to protect our people and the environment! For every project from 2022 that contributes to CO2 reduction, we will have LTG plant an additional tree. The big tree planting campaign will take place in spring 2023 together with our climate protection partners from “PLANT-MY-TREE“. In the future, we would like to continue planting additional trees for every appliance sold that contributes to comfort and a healthy indoor climate.

About PLANT-MY-TREE
Since 2007, PLANT-MY-TREE® has been carrying out reforestation projects for CO² compensation throughout Germany. The goal is environmental and climate protection in Germany, i.e. where our CO² emissions also occur. Since 2020, PLANT-MY-TREE® has been carrying out forest conversion and forest protection projects in addition to initial afforestation, and in doing so, attaches great importance to a high level of biodiversity. Here, regional conditions are taken into account and, if possible, mixed forests are planted. Over decades, this creates a natural habitat for insects and animals. Sustainable tree plantations on the mainly own areas as well as planned project durations of at least 99 years, in which no deforestation or economic use is to take place, underline the long-term climate protection goals of PLANT-MY-TREE®. At the request of our project partners, we also carry out reforestation on land made available to us. With individual terms, the focus here is also on long-term CO2 compensation. Quality, experience, satisfied cooperation partners and a good feeling is also important in the area of environmental and climate protection. PLANT-MY-TREE® was successfully certified according to DIN ISO 9001:2015 by TÜV Rheinland at the beginning of 2020. Together with many large and small partners, PLANT-MY-TREE® contributes to environmental and climate protection according to the motto “Every tree counts” and “Climate protection is fun” in order to leave a livable world for future generation.

Production at the Lebenshilfe workshops in Stuttgart

Lebenshilfe Stuttgart supports disabled people and their families. It provides accommodation and workshops, making an important contribution to ensuring that disabled people can enjoy a happy, creative and independent life. The Lebenshilfe metal workshops have been producing for LTG for some time now. They install air motors and side panels in our tangential fans and perform processing steps for components, such as spot welding, beading, trimming and stamping. We are very happy with the reliably high quality they deliver, and look forward to many more years of productive cooperation. You can find more information (in German) about the Lebenshilfe workshops in Stuttgart here.

Sponsorship of baby ambulance for the Björn Steiger Foundation

For decades, the Björn Steiger Foundation has had a simple aim: saving lives. Air rescue, emergency phone boxes on roads and motorways, and the emergency services numbers themselves are just some of the measures that can be traced back to the initiative of this foundation. Another, more recent aim of the Björn Steiger Foundation is the prevention of infant deaths through safe medical transport for babies. Until 1974, the former West Germany had the highest level of infant mortality in the industrialised world. Back then, maternity and paediatric clinics were often separated, and babies had to be transported in an emergency. The lack of holding and retaining mechanisms, coupled with the fragile condition of the young patients, often unfortunately led to severe injuries.

The baby ambulance is a new means of transport that allows babies to be brought to hospital as safely and comfortably as possible. We are delighted to make a small contribution to this while hoping that “Felix” the ambulance is not needed so often and can stay as long as possible in the garage. Find out more about the Björn Steiger Foundation (in German).
