LTG fans come in a wide range of flow configurations and drive types. Our portfolio includes classic LTG centrifugal fans, highly efficient LTG axial-flow fans and, for very special applications, LTG tangential fans. The latter are distinguished by their wide and even air flow, which makes them extremely good for special uses. LTG tangential fans have proved to be outstanding when it comes to winnowing. They help to remove and separate light constituents from heavy ones, small ones from large ones and fine ones from coarse ones. A practical example is the processing and grinding of wood in hammer mills, beater mills and knife-ring flakers. Tangential fans have decisive advantages over conventional types: their uniform, elongated air flow allows machinery to be designed in a much more compact form. Complicated ducts, nozzles and transitional components are unnecessary. The result is high throughput, low wear and a longer operational lifetime. LTG's rugged conveying fans are excellent for the manufacture of chipboard panels. For this purpose our centrifugal fans are available in special versions for flue gases up to 752 °F and with wear-resistant and armoured elements for dealing with abrasive constituents such as shavings, sand, earth and stones. Wood processing generates large quantities of dust and solid particles in various shapes and sizes. This material must be removed in order to prevent interference with production and protect the health of the employees. For this purpose, LTG filter technology offers proven products such as filters, separators, compactors and cyclones. They help clean the air, and filtered wood particles can then be disposed of or recycled.
